Cadillac<\/strong> enjoyed its first 200,000-car year for calendar ’66, breaking the barrier by
\nprecisely 5001 units. A mild facelift brought a new front bumper and grille, plus more
\nintegrated taillight housings. The 75 switched to the new perimeter frame and was fully restyled for the first time since 1959. Variable-ratio power steering was a new option, as were carbon-cloth seat heating pads. The\u00a0Fleetwood\u00a0Brougham<\/em><\/strong> became a separate model, still more luxuriously trimmed than the plain-roof Sixty Special and priced about $320 higher.<\/p>\n

The\u00a0Fleetwood\u00a0Brougham<\/em><\/strong>, like other\u00a0Cadillacs<\/strong>, grew substantially larger and more powerful from 1949 through the early 1970s. By 1973 it was 4 inches longer in wheelbase, 17 in longer overall, and more than 900 lb heavier, and its standard V8 engine had grown from 5.4L to 7.7L.<\/p>\n

The\u00a0Fleetwood Brougham<\/strong> remained a ‘B’ pillared hardtop with frameless doors from 1965 through the 1976 model year. 1965 through 1967 models had window vents on all 4 doors. This means a total of 8 side windows.<\/p>\n
