For those not familiar with Mustang history, the model was introduced at\u00a0the New York World’s Fair in April 1964<\/em>. Over 20,000 cars were sold in the\u00a0first week of public release.<\/p>\n

It’s interesting to note that while Ford chose the name “Mustang”<\/em><\/strong><\/em> to reflect\u00a0the spirited image of the P-51 US World War 2 fighter plane named the Mustang<\/em>,\u00a0the public immediately associated the car with the untamed wild horse of\u00a0the American West. Ford quickly adopted the image of a wild galloping horse\u00a0as the badging symbol of this now classic car.<\/p>\n

Ford brought the Mach 1<\/strong> back for \u201973<\/em> with nice styling upgrades, an array of new colors, and\u00a0the retention of three V-8 engines: the 302-2V, the 351C-2V, and the 351C-4V Cobra Jet<\/em><\/strong>.<\/p>\n

Under the hood sits a rare “Q-Code”<\/strong> 351 CID – 4V “Cleveland” <\/em>rated at 266HP with a “C-6”<\/em> automatic transmission. Factory options include; Pwr. steering,\u00a0Pwr. Brakes(new front pads and rotors) and working Air conditioning(converted to 134A).\u00a0Car runs and drives well. A great looking aggressive American Fastback Design.<\/p>\n
