It was the first\u00a0<em>steel-bodied<\/em>, two seat <strong>American<\/strong> production model since the 1957 Ford Thunderbird.\u00a0American Motors created the <strong>AMX<\/strong> (<em>American Motors Experimental<\/em>) by slicing a\u00a0foot out of its Javelin body, eliminating the rear seat, and making it a true\u00a0two seat sports car.<\/p>\n<p>The <em>MSRP<\/em> for the <strong>1970 <em>AMX<\/em><\/strong> increased to $3,395. For the added money, the buyer\u00a0got a standard <em>360 cid V8<\/em> rated at an impressive 290 bhp. The front end and\u00a0taillamps were also completely restyled. Atop the hood was a <em>Ram-Air <\/em>nduction\u00a0scoop. This would be the last year for true two-seat <strong>AMX<\/strong> production.<\/p>\n<p>This 1970 <strong>AMC AMX<\/strong> comes equipped with a <em>360 cid<\/em> V8 rated at 290 bhp.\u00a0The transmission is a four speed manual with a <strong>Hurst<\/strong> shifter and Twin-Grip rear\u00a0differential. The exterior is <strong>Mossport Green<\/strong> with a black vinyl interior\u00a0featuring new carpets. This classic Steel-Bodied two seater <strong>AMX<\/strong> is in good\u00a0running condition. An extremely <em>clean<\/em> and <em>solid<\/em> car throughout.\u00a0A great addition to any collection.<\/p>\n<p><strong>The attached manufacturers plate reads as follows;<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>
