Most of the credit\u00a0went to the new styling, which was <em>European-inspired<\/em> (some would say &#8220;<em>Ferrari inspired<\/em>&#8220;) and would\u00a0prove so popular that it would last until 1982. Still based on the Nova, the new <strong>Camaro<\/strong> was two inches\u00a0longer and had five inch longer doors, and was now available only as a coupe (no convertible).<\/p>\n<p>It featured a new <em>A-arm<\/em> front suspension and better noise insultation. Under the hood, the proposed\u00a0new 454 blocks never made it and the <strong>Camaro <em>SS<\/em><\/strong> continued with the 350 and 396 engines. After January\u00a01970, however, the <em>396<\/em> engines no longer displaced 396 cubic inches. Chevrolet actually enlarged them\u00a0to 402 cubic inches but the executives decided to name it the 396 to take advantage of the name\u00a0recognition and avoid any attention from insurance carriers.<\/p>\n<p>The <em>Rally Sport<\/em>, <strong>Super Sport<\/strong>, and <em>Z28<\/em> packages were still available. The <strong>Super Sport<\/strong> option included a\u00a0special black grill, hidden wipers, power brakes, engine trim, white-letter tires, chrome dual exhausts,\u00a0and the <strong>SS396<\/strong> also came with black-painted trunk panels and a special suspension.<\/p>\n<p>Early 70&#8242; <em>Stunning American Muscle<\/em> car from <strong>Chevrolet<\/strong>.\u00a0This 1970 <em>Chevrolet<\/em> Camaro <strong>&#8220;SS&#8221; Coupe<\/strong> is equipped with a <strong>396 cubic inch <\/strong>Turbo Jet V8, <em>375 HP<\/em>, with a <em>4-Speed<\/em> transmission, and a <em>12-Bolt<\/em> Positraction rear end.\u00a0The exterior is finished in <span style=\"color: #ff6600;\">Hugger Orange<\/span> with white stripes and Dark Gray Rally Wheels. The interior\u00a0is finished in black vinyl. Options include <em>Pwr. Steering<\/em>, <em>Pwr. Brakes<\/em>, <em>Remote Driver Mirror<\/em>,\u00a0and small rear spoiler. This is a great looking <strong>Camaro<\/strong>, extremely solid throughout, runs and drives\u00a0like a real <strong>American Muscle<\/strong> Car.<\/p>\n<div id='gallery-1' class='gallery
