Although not a muscle car by definition, the <strong>Corvette <\/strong>used muscle car powertrains and has represented American performance for almost fifty years.<\/p>\n<p>The <em>Sting Rays<\/em> were the automotive success story of the year. <strong>Chevrolet<\/strong> had to add\u00a0a second shift to its <em>St. Louis, Missouri<\/em> assembly plant to keep up with demand, and\u00a0dealers reported owners waiting months for their cars to be built. By the end of the\u00a0model year, Corvette production would surpass the <em>20,000-unit<\/em> milestone.<\/p>\n<p>After a year&#8217;s absence, the <strong>Stingray<\/strong> name re\u00adappeared on the front fenders. Front and rear disc\u00a0brakes, headlight washers, center console, wheel trim rings, carpeting, and all-vinyl upholstery\u00a0were now standard. This was the first time the <strong>coupe<\/strong> outsold the <strong>convertible<\/strong>, and would continue\u00a0to do so in all subsequent years.<\/p>\n<p>1969 <strong>Corvette Stingray<\/strong> Sport Coupe. Fitted to this car; a <em>350 CI, 300<\/em> HP V-8 engine.\u00a0The transmission is <strong>four-speed<\/strong> manual shift with an upgrated <strong>Hurst<\/strong> Shifter.\u00a0The exterior is <em>Daytona Yellow<\/em> with removable <strong>T-Tops<\/strong> and a Black vinyl interior.\u00a0Factory options include Pwr. Steering, Pwr. Brakes and Radio Delete. Vehicle has also been\u00a0upgrated with a modern <em>Delco Remi<\/em> Electronic Ignition. Runs and drives extremely well, a\u00a0solid example of a great <strong>American Classic <em>Muscle Car<\/em><\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p><strong>The attached manufacturers plate reads as
