Both featured a streamlined appearance and\u00a0improved passenger accommodations. The American public loved\u00a0<em>1963-1967 Stingrays <\/em>because they were fast machines that looked\u00a0<em>supersonic<\/em> even when parked.\u00a0They remain the most collectible Corvettes today.<\/p>\n<p>The\u00a0<em>Sting Rays<\/em> were the automotive success story of the year. Chevrolet had to add\u00a0a second shift to its St. Louis, Missouri assembly plant to keep up with demand, and\u00a0dealers reported owners waiting months for their cars to be built. By the end of the\u00a0model year, Corvette production would surpass the 20,000-unit milestone.<\/p>\n<p>For 1965\u00a0<strong>Corvette<\/strong> made a few changes to the\u00a0<strong>Sting Rays<\/strong>. The horizontal grill bars were changed\u00a0to black, the hood vent\u00a0<em>depressions<\/em> were removed and the new vertical\u00a0<em>exhaust louvers<\/em> in the\u00a0front fenders were now functional. On the interior\u00a0<em>Instrument gauges<\/em> were restyled with flat\u00a0black faces and seats were redesigned with slightly larger and more supportive cushioning.<\/p>\n<p>Fitted to this car; a\u00a0<strong><em>numbers matching<\/em><\/strong> 327 cubic inch 300 horsepower V-8\u00a0<em>L75<\/em> engine.\u00a0The transmission is the factory optional\u00a0<em>4 speed manual transmission<\/em>. The exterior\u00a0is Glen Green with a matching green vinyl interior and\u00a0<em>special cast\u00a0 aluminum knock-off wheels,\u00a0gold wall tires and AM\/FM Radio<\/em>. This classic\u00a0<em>American Coupe<\/em> is extremely solid and fun to\u00a0drive. Complete frame off restoration, this car looks great. A great addition to any collection as it is\u00a0one of the most collectable of all\u00a0<strong>Corvettes<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p><strong>The attached manufacturers plate reads as
