Although not a muscle car by definition, the\u00a0<strong>Corvette<\/strong>\u00a0used muscle car powertrains and has represented American performance for almost fifty years.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The\u00a0<em>Sting Rays<\/em>\u00a0were the automotive success story of the year.\u00a0<strong>Chevrolet<\/strong>\u00a0had to add a second shift to its\u00a0<em>St. Louis, Missouri<\/em>\u00a0assembly plant to keep up with demand, and dealers reported owners waiting months for their cars to be built. By the end of the model year, Corvette production would surpass the\u00a0<em>20,000-unit<\/em>\u00a0milestone.<br><br><\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-embed alignwide is-type-video
