This car\u00a0was so outstanding, that all the other cars paled before it. It was the last of the\u00a0great racing cars that could be driven on the road. The performance was wild and exciting\u00a0yet the car exuded beauty and luxury.<\/p>\n<p>The magnificent body was designed in a wind tunnel by <strong>Malcolm <em>Sayer<\/em><\/strong><em><\/em>, an outstanding\u00a0aircraft designer. It was crafted of <em>20 gauge<\/em> sheet metal with welding monocoupe construction.\u00a0This allowed savings in weight since there was no heavy frame. There were many innovations\u00a0introduced in this car.<\/p>\n<p>The first model introduced in <em>1961<\/em> was the <strong>Series I E-type<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p>In <em>1964<\/em> the <strong>3.8 liter<\/strong> car was replaced by the <strong>4.2 liter<\/strong> car.\u00a0In <em>1971<\/em> in order to pep up the <strong>Big <em>Cat<\/em><\/strong><em><\/em>, the <em>V-12<\/em> engine was\u00a0installed and known as the <strong>Series III<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p>Elegant roadster from <strong>Jaguar<\/strong>. The <em>Series III <strong>V-12<\/strong> XKE<\/em>.\u00a0The engine is a 5343 cc <strong>12 cyl<\/strong> single overhead camshaft producing 272 bhp @ 5850 rpm. The exterior\u00a0is a Stunning Metallic Blue with a black soft top, soft top cover and full tonneau cover. The black leather\u00a0interior shows very well. Options include: <em>5-SPD transmission<\/em>, Leather Interior,  Pwr. Steering\u00a0and Pwr. Brakes. Restored 5 years ago, this stunning example continues to shine! Interior, body and\u00a0mechanical were all restored. This vehicle has been kept indoors and used only during the summer since\u00a0the restoration.
