1964 Jaguar XKE Series I<\/em> Roadster<\/strong>.
\nThe 4.2 litre version arrived in October 1964, and was later dubbed the Series One.\u00a0The new car looked identical to its predecessor except for a 4.2 badge on the boot-lid.\u00a0Once again, Jaguar had pumped up its faithful DOHC six’s capacity to get more torque\u00a0for its saloon cars that shared that engine.<\/p>\n

The 4.2 got to 60 mph in 7 seconds and did the quarter mile in 14.9.\u00a0These up-grades made the E-Type<\/strong> a much more pleasant car to drive and its performance\u00a0was slightly improved too – although this issue is confused by some early road tests\u00a0conducted with a “special” press car.<\/p>\n

This is an absolutely stunning, steel blue<\/em> with navy interior and top,\u00a01964 Jaguar XKE 4.2 Litre Series I<\/em> Roadster<\/strong>.\u00a0This magnificent piece of art would be a fabulous addition to any collection.\u00a0This is not your typical driver, but a high quality mechanical piece of art.<\/p>\n

Whithout a doubt, it is one of the finest examples of the Series I XKE Roadster we\u00a0have ever seen.<\/p>\n
