Although the Austin Healey was the essence of 1950s simplicity<\/strong>, it yielded driving
\nenjoyment way beyond its basic mechanical credentials.<\/p>\n

The Bugeye Sprite<\/em><\/strong> was built from May, 1958, to April, 1961. They were an instant success,\u00a0both on the road and the track, because of their reasonable initial price (under $2,000),\u00a0ease of maintenance, excellent yet forgiving handling, and quick precise steering.<\/p>\n

48,987<\/em> examples were produced, making it the most numerous, by far, among all cars ever to\u00a0bear the name Healey<\/strong>. Power was supplied by the Austin<\/strong> 948 cc A-Series<\/em> engine producing 43 hp,\u00a0and while performance was hardly neck snapping, no one complained because the car was just\u00a0so much fun to drive.<\/p>\n

This adorable 1960 Austin Healey Bugeye<\/strong> Sprite<\/em> is a rare example of 50’s simplicity and driving\u00a0enjoyment. Being the result of an older restoration this cute little roadster still shows well\u00a0both mechanically & aesthetically. The exterior is finished in Iris Blue<\/em> with a matching dark\u00a0blue interior, black soft top, tonneau cover and new side curtains. This Classic British Roadster <\/strong>has been beautifully restored. It is as solid as she looks & drives<\/em> like a classic champ!<\/p>\n
