It all started with two different ideas from two different men with two different cars. Gottlieb Daimler<\/strong> and Karl Benz<\/strong> each created their own companies, manufacturing their own cars. Their companies produced brilliant automobiles as rivals for about 30 years, until economic ties caused their two respectful companies to merge and create what today is the greatest automobile in the world.<\/p>\n

When these cars were manufactured new, Mercedes-Benz<\/em> adhered to construction methods that resulted in a standard that was the envy of the automotive industry. The W108\/W109<\/strong> line was the upper class model of the New Generation or \/8 Mercedes family in 1967. It was introduced two years earlier in 1965 with the 250S\/SE and the 300SE\/SEL, but never the less served as the S-Class<\/strong> member of the stroke-eights for the first production years. It’s predecessor was the “Fintail”; or “Heckeflosse”; W111\/W112 and the successor was the W116.<\/p>\n

The exterior is Metallic Green with lots of chrome accents, the interior is the original tan leather in good condition showing normal wear for its age. Equipped with factory Air Conditioning<\/strong>, Power Steering, Power Windows, Power Antenna, Air Suspension with Interior Control and custom Landaulet<\/strong>. The engine is a\u00a0 Mercedes<\/strong> 3.5L V8 with automatic transmission.<\/p>\n
